Rumors are circulating that an NHL team is willing to sign Sabres forward Andrew Peters to an offer sheet.

Peters, who has many intangibles in place of actual hockey talent, would likely spend the rest of his career withering away on an NHL roster.

One GM, who wished to remain anonymous, gave a hint as to why an untalented player would be subject of such an agressive move that would handcuff the Sabres' GM into making a tough decision.

"Spite," the GM replied.

Peters would be an UFA

The Washington Capitals organization is the definition of a joke. Peters will not become a UFA, nor will he be subject to an offer sheet. Sabres GM Gheygier is willing to crack back with offer sheets of his own, if necessary.

Even if Peters were to become a UFA, that's another two offseasons from now. So ... yeah.
