Pronger blows into Chicago
TSN has learned that the Ducks and Blackhawks have finally completed the trade that has sent Chris Pronger to Chicago for Brent Seabrook,Duncan Keith and a 2008 First Round pick. For the Blackhawks they finally get the rock on defense they've been looking for.
Dave Tallon was very excited for the addition of Pronger. "We're excited to add Chris to our team, we've needed a big man back there for years and he's going to be a huge influence to our young players."

Burke Happy About Pronger Trade
Many people scratched their heads when they found out Pronger was on the market. To Brian Burke, the deal with the Chicago Blackhawks made a lot of sense. "In this day we needed Cap Space, with this deal we saved roughly around 4 mil in space, and added two quality young defensemen. Both Seabrook and Keith will be great additions, and we hopefully got a top 10 pick in the draft."
It was reported that 3 teams made formal offers to the Ducks, but this is the one that made the most sense to the organization.
Burke has come out to say that he wanted to get younger and faster so will more deals happen? "In all likelihood we are not done, maybe 1 or 2 more deals."
-With this move Scott Niedermayer has once again been named captain of the Ducks.
