Bouwmeester won't negoitate during the season

Chicago,Illinois-

Jay Bouwmeester arrived in Chicago for the first time and said he's excited to join the Blackhaws buts theres one thing he'd like to get done prior to start of the season and thats signing a contract extension as Bouwmeester is due to be a RFA at seasons end.

"I'd like to get it done now and my agent and I won't be talking during the season so we're gonna get down to business as soon as possible."

There have been rumblings that if they two sides can't reach a deal Bouwmeester could be dealt at the deadline or prior to July 1st.
