Today, Doug Risebrough announced the waiver of D-man Kim Johnsson.

"Kim was a solid D-man for us in the past, but he no longer fits our younger/meaner defense. We wish Kim well in his future endeavours."

The Wild will shed Johnsson's contract beyond this season, and lose 2/3 of the cap space for this season because of this move.
